It's time for another mix, and the concept for this one is pretty simple. It includes songs that have the name of a city or state in the title. While putting this mix together, it surprised me the number of songs that are written about cities and states. I'm sure a lot of songs are born because of something that stands out to the songwriter about the cities and states that they pass through as they tour across the country. Also, a lot of songs are written about the hometowns or states that they grew up in. It's interesting to me to get a glimpse of a songwriter's perception of a certain place at a certain moment of time.

In addition to Steve's music, I'm a big fan of The Weepies, as well as, Deb Talan's solo stuff. I have not heard of The Submarines, but I'll definitely check them out. Thanks for the recommendation.
